Effective Risk Management Recognized

Each year, we recognize our members who are effectively reducing risks and maintaining a safe working environment for their employees and citizens.  These communities and schools are taking advantage of the training and services provided for AMLJIA members—the Safety Savings Account, Online University, Loss Control Incentive Program and Employment Law Hotline, to name a few—to  help reduce their losses.  They are to be commended for a job well done!

Sixty-one percent of AMLJIA members kept losses to less than one percent of their deposit contribution. The City of Atqasuk this year earned the Eagle Award in recognition of twenty consecutive Platinum Awards. A complete list of the 2011 Loss Control Award Winners is listed below:

The City of Atqasuk earned the Eagle Award in recognition of twenty consecutive years as an AMLJIA member with losses less than one percent of contribution annually. The award was presented at the 2011 AML Local Government Conference. This is an exceptional achievement and a testament to the professionalism of past and present city employees and elected officials. Well done!
