The Law Enforcement Management Institute
The Law Enforcement Management Institute provides front-line supervisors and other agency personnel with the management skills necessary to operate a modern law enforcement agency. The Institute is a joint effort between the AMLJIA and the Alaska Police Standards Council. Attendees receive credits for this 40-hour APSC certified course. Topics to be addressed include Law Enforcement Leadership, Managing Civil Liability, Managing the Police Environment, Managing the Media Relationship, Positive Personnel Management, Employment Legal Issues, and Managing Crisis Incidents.
The 2012 Law Enforcement Management Institute will be held February 6-10, 2012, at the Dimond Center Hotel in Anchorage. Online registration and additional information is available on our website, www.amljia.org. There is no fee for AMLJIA members to attend the training, and registration is only $100 for non-members. AMLJIA members are also eligible to receive a travel subsidy for attending the Law Enforcement Management Institute.
